Have you ever had an especially stressful week of work? Really, who hasn’t? I certainly have. Last week in fact, was potentially my craziest week ever! It was as if the universe took everything it had and decided to throw it all at me at once. I had just gotten back from a nice weekend off and as soon as I walked into my yoga studio the world went hay wire. All of the negative things that the universe had in store for me took over my week. Our mind is the most powerful tool we possess yet few of us ever think about what is going on in our minds. This week, take time to observe your thoughts. Observe without attachment if they are positive or negative? Is your inner world filled with courage, confidence, and happiness or anxiety, worry and fear? Negative thoughts are like weeds taking over a fertile garden. Without the weeds our minds have the ability to grow and produce amazing things in our lives!

Summer is in full swing and our lives couldn’t be busier. The kids are home from school, we are traveling, plus all the fun things that Colorado has to offer keep us so busy. With all of these commitments, when can we find time to practice yoga? Even though we may be out of our normal routine during the summer, no matter how long it’s been since we have attended class, our body will remember.
