Care Packages for Our Troops
Green Mountain Yoga through GMY Cares sent out the first Care Packages in our yearlong effort to support our men and women in the armed forces overseas. The holidays are nearly here and we would love to ship lots of goodies to them in the next month for Christmas. Your generosity is always appreciated!
We sent three large, fully stuffed packages to a Colorado Cavalry Unit stationed in Afghanistan. The unit has approximately 40 troops. Our packages included items such as books, razors, baby wipes, snacks, hot packs, socks, tea, zip loc bags, and playing cards.
We need your continued support to make our program successful. The first week of every month we will ship our care packages to a unit from Colorado. Please bring in items that are useful to our service men and women.
Here are some ideas for items to donate:
- cup of noodles
- beef jerky
- chips or popcorn
- soap
- tooth brush/paste
- magazines
- movies
- socks
- stocking caps
- toilet paper
